UK: Anti-Bribery Report on Due Diligence for Transactions
The report concludes that purchasers and investors in multiple jurisdictions are faced with a changing legislative environment exemplified by the UK Bribery Act 2010 and new anti-bribery laws in Russia and China. Increasing enforcement and growing demands for integrity, responsibility, accountability and transparency are combined with higher expectations placed on purchasers in relation to due diligence and the challenges imposed. The report sets out good practice principles and provides guidance for a six stage process for initiation and integration of anti-bribery due diligence. The report is available at
